FROM CHAOS TO CATHARTIC DECLUTTERING

If you follow The House Jar on facebook, you'll be up to speed with my 'joys' of undertaking a huge house move.  Not that the houses either side are huge by any stretch of the imagination, but clearly the evolution of The House Jar had caused a true 'bedding in' at home base (HJ HQ!) which consequently showed that my house had infact become a factory!

My lovely office summerhouse was vastly unappreciated until the move and revealed itself to be an amazing space where I neatly stored packaging, stock, and lockers full of stationery.  So a rethink had to be quick in order that I could keep running until Christmas but then use the holidays to get moved and sorted!  Its nearly killed me but thanks to friends and family feeding Ben, Sam and I over the entire festive period, we are moved, happy, warm, secure and (almost!) tidy!

So Im reconnecting again, albeit with blissful denial that there is still one more room to unpack...now known as the room of doom! On the upside, all HJ stock is now where it should be in our funky container facility, my desk is finally clear and we're ready to go again with the website, on orders, new collections and a lovely last season sale.  We've also embarked on some lovely techie kit which means we can barcode our stock like a grown up shop.  This is something Ive always taken forgranted when shopping but its a fantastic way of us of dealing with orders and stock more efficiently and in turn, that means we have more time to source new and gorgeous collections more regularly.

So thank you for bearing with us. We promise that there are some great things coming up this year.  Heads are full of creativity and brimming with enthusiasm and we're longing to take The House Jar to the next level and bring you some special features to our service.
